Join us on our trip to the region of La Garrotxa, where volcanoes meet medieval villages. You'll discover the area's most beautiful spots and breathe in the natural beech wood in La Fageda d'en Jordà.
Trip to La Garrotxa
We'll meet at 9 am outside Hotel Esplendid and hop on an air-conditioned bus heading to the region of La Garrotxa.
An hour and a quarter later we'll arrive at our first stop: Castellfollit de la Roca. Did you know it's one of the smallest villages in Spain? We'll spend half an hour strolling through its narrow streets. We'll also enjoy the stunning views of the Fluvià River from the basalt cliff where the village is located.
Then we'll head to the La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park, where we'll discover Santa Pau, a medieval village that charms its visitors with its cobbled streets and stone houses: like something out of a storybook! You'll also have some free time here to go for lunch.
The tour will continue in La Fageda d'en Jordà, a nature reserve of over four square kilometres. You can visit this magnificent beech forest on a small train or horse and carriage.
By 6:30 pm we'll be back at the meeting point in Blanes, where the trip ends.
