Free Walking Tour of Hangzhou
Meet your guide at 10 am in the centre of Hangzhou, on the shores of the spectacular West Lake, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From this beautiful natural space, home to numerous important monuments, we'll begin our free walking tour of the city that Marco Polo once called the most elegant in the world. What did the famous traveller see in it? We'll discover all on our tour!
Crossing over the famous Broken Bridge that spans the Bai Causeway, we'll learn all about the history of Hangzhou, and our guide will reveal one of the mysteries hidden in this beautiful area of West Lake... ever heard of the Legend of the White Snake?
Strolling onwards, we'll get to see the former temporary royal palace and a famous Hangzhou restaurant, before hearing all about the traditional local culture of seal engraving. Our tour will then come to an end at 1 pm in front of the Zhejiang Museum.
It is not possible to reserve this tour for groups larger than 6 people.
