Feel like an adventure? This hiking trip through the stunning Enchanted Forest will immerse you in the incredible landscapes of La Palma and the Cubo de la Galga laurel forest.
La Palma Enchanted Forest Hike
The tour meets at 10 am, at Atabara Avenue in the Puntallana municipality to begin a very special hiking route. Before we begin the walk, we will give out the wooden walking sticks to you so that you feel more comfortable while we walk through the Enchanted Forest. 11 kilometres of enchanted forest await us!
We'll explore the paths of the forest dotted with enormous ferns and hundreds of trees, that provide shade and give the forest its magical appearance. The walk will take us to the Somada Alta viewpoint, the highest point on the route, where If the day is clear you'll be able to see the islands of Tenerife and La Gomera and also the towns of Los Sauces and San Andrés in the distance. Truly stunning!
We will begin the descent accompanied by aromatic herbs such as thyme, mint and oregano, finally arriving at the town of San Bartolo, where we will stop, with free time for you to get something to eat.
Then with our strength restored, we will continue walking towards the coast. Here the lush vegetation of the enchanted forest changes in favour of arid flora characterised by the numerous cacti.
You'll also see mango, banana and other farmland on the way to the Nogales beach viewpoint. There the minibus will be waiting for us that will take us back to the centre of Puntallana.
We will finish the hiking route back at the starting point at approximately 5 pm.

A - There are two options: the full trail, of 11 km, 5 hours, with 450 m climb and 950 m descent - meaning it is of medium difficulty. If you choose to only do the first part, you will walk 7 km over 3 hours 30 minutes, with 150 metres climb and 300 m descent - making it an easy route. You can decide which to do on the day, by simply mentioning it to the guide.
