Churches and Holy Grail Tour
At 10 am we'll meet at Town Hall Square in Valencia. From this point, we'll embark on a route to discover the ins and outs and curiosities of the Holy Grail.
We'll investigate the history of this sacred cup and its journey from the Holy Land to Rome, as well as how this relic ended up in the hands of the deacon of Sixtus II. We'll also unravel its journey through Aragon until it reached its current location.
Our next stop will be the Cathedral of Santa María in Valencia to visit the chapel of the Holy Chalice, where this sacred element is displayed in an exceptional Gothic alabaster altarpiece.
After leaving the Cathedral, we'll enter the Grail Hall to delve into the details of the cup made of carnelian agate. Did you know what the menu of the Holy Supper consisted of? We'll discover the dishes that the apostles probably tasted that night while visiting this interpretation centre - incredible!
The tour will end at 12 pm.
