Join us on a fantastic boat trip to the cliffs of Maro and discover the treasures of Spain's stunning Axarquía coastline. Along the way, you will encounter a fascinating sunken ship and bathe under a beautiful waterfall.
Maro Cliffs Boat Trip
At the scheduled time, we will meet up in Caleta de Vélez Port, 10 minutes from Vélez Málaga. There, we will board the boat and set sail along the coast of the Axarquia of Málaga.
We will pass the iconic Torrox lighthouse before reaching the bay of Calaceite, where we make a stop. Then we put on our diving goggles and jump into the water to discover a real treasure: the remains of the Rice Boat. This vessel sank during the Civil War and the resulting fuel spill gave this beach its name. You will hear the full fascinating story from our guide.
We will resume the journey by skirting along the beaches of Nerja. While enjoying a refreshing drink, we will arrive at the spectacular cliffs of Maro. Here, you will see idyllic, crystal waters and magical caves carved into the rocks.
And if you thought these coastal landscapes were special, wait until you see the waterfall of Maro. There we will enjoy a refreshing dip and relax under the cascades.
After a thrilling four hour boat trip, we will return to the original departure point where our adventure finishes.
