Travel to one of Portugal's most famous holy sites on this tour to Fátima from Viseu. Learn all about its history and visit the rural village of Pia Urso - an unforgettable day!
Fátima & Pia do Urso Tour
At 9 am on the day of the tour, we'll meet at Largo do Rossio in Viseu. There we'll board a minibus and head towards one of the most important religious complexes in Portugal, the Sanctuary of Fátima. The journey will take us approximately two hours.
We'll tour this sacred place built on the site where, according to legend, three shepherd children named Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta saw an apparition of the Virgin Mary in 1917. During the tour, we'll admire the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Monument to the Heart of Jesus and the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary.
After the guided tour, you'll have two hours free to get some lunch and buy some souvenirs if you wish. We'll then return to the vehicle and drive to the village of Pia do Urso, ready to immerse ourselves in rural life in Portugal.
In Pia do Urso, we'll discover old traditional houses, small orchards and the first sensory eco-park in Portugal designed for blind people. You can relax to the sound of the birds flying over the village or the waterwheels in the nearby streams, smell the different aromatic plants and feel the texture of the tree trunks, a sensory experience that is sure to captivate you!
After visiting Pia do Urso, we'll return to the minibus and head back to Viseu, where the tour will end at 5 pm.
