Explore the magnificent Peruvian desert on this day trip from Ica to discover the Canyon of the Lost, one of Peru's hidden wonders!
Between 6 and 7 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ica and head south. Ready? Let's get going!
We'll first stop at the main square of Plaza de Armas in Ocucaje, where we'll see the famous monuments of the shark, the farmer and the fighting cocks.
Then, we'll stop at a local restaurant where you can get breakfast and buy snacks for the road.
Afterward, we'll set off for Cañón de los Perdidos, or Canyon of the Lost. The first stop in this canyon will be at a viewpoint where you'll have impressive views of this geological formation.
We'll continue our tour by visiting the natural sanctuary of Cañón de los Perdidos. After briefly learning how it was formed, you'll have time to take pictures outside the mouth of the canyon. We'll also go on a stroll along the mouth of the canyon, right at the intersection of the Ica and Seco rivers, during which we'll see different species of native fauna, such as owls, black vultures, and lizards.
Before wrapping up our time here, you'll have time to get lunch at a local restaurant. We'll also visit a local winery to sample traditional products like pisco, wine made from pisco, and cream of pisco.
Finally, we'll return to Ica, where arrival at the main square is scheduled between 3 and 4 pm.
This tour includes pickup from hotels in the center of Ica. If you're staying in a hotel far from the city (Hotel Hacienda San Juan, Viñas Queirolo, Hotel La Caravedo, Hotel Bodega El Huarango, among others), we'll pick you up at Plaza de Armas in Ica.
