Get to know the oldest city in the United States on this day trip to St Augustine from Orlando. Delve into the rich history of the former capital of Spanish Florida!

St Augustine Day Trip

After picking you up from Orlando, we'll set off to the historic city of St Augustine. Founded by Spanish Admiral Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565, it is the oldest city in the United States and served as the capital of Florida until 1824.

St Augustine has a rich history, visible in the heritage of its colonial buildings and picturesque cobblestone streets. Once we reach the city, you'll have the day free to explore at your leisure. Discover the history of Spanish colonisation visiting San Marcos Castle and Fort Matanzas, the fortresses built by the settlers.

In the centre of the city, you'll have the opportunity to admire the emblematic Flagler College and the Lightner Museum, formerly the old Alcazar Hotel. You can also go shopping and relax in one of the old town's many quaint cafés... you decide!

During your visit to St Augustine, you'll also have the option to complete your tour of the city by including a trip on the hop-on hop-off tourist train, cruising round the bay on a boat trip, visiting the Pirate Museum (depending on your selected option).

At the end of the day, we'll make the journey back to Orlando, arriving back around 5 pm.
