Self-Guided Tour of Prague Castle

At the designated time, you'll meet the person who will give you your tickets so you don't have to wait in line. Here, you be given a short introduction inside the castle's complex. Welcome!

Sitting atop a hill overlooking the entire city, Prague Castle is one of the city's most visited landmarks. Despite its name, it isn't really a castle, but rather a complex consisting of various buildings, including St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, Franz Kafka's House in the Golden Lane, and the All Saints Church.

With your ticket to Prague Castle, you'll have access to all that there is to see on these grounds, as well as an audio guide in English with commentary on the history of the various structures within.

In St. Vitus Cathedral, you'll discover some jewels of Czech royalty, including the Crown of Saint Wenceslas. Meanwhile, in the Rosenberg Palace, you'll be able to explore the building's most magnificent rooms.

Also not to be missed is St. George's Basilica, which houses an extensive collection of 19th-century Bohemian art from the Prague National Gallery.

Another must-see inside Prague Castle is the famous Golden Lane. In this street of colourful houses, you'll see Franz Kafka's House as well as the iconic Daliborka Tower.

How Does the Ticket Work?

After a brief explanation next to the St. Vitus Cathedral, you'll receive your ticket, which will grant you admission to buildings in the complex. Your ticket will be valid for 2 consecutive days.

In addition, the staff member who gives you the tickets will explain how to download a free audio guide in English to your mobile phone, which will provide you with commentary in English about the monuments of Prague Castle.

Transport Option

During the booking process, you can choose the option that includes transport from Maiselova 59/5, in Prague 1. This way, you can enjoy a comfortable transfer without having to face the climb to the entrance of Prague Castle.

Please Note

Due to ongoing restoration works at St. Vitus Cathedral, the order of stops in the audio guide and some locations may be temporarily affected or inaccessible.
