Poblet Monastery and Montblanc Trip
Up early at 9 am because it is time to pick you up from your hotel in Cambrils. We will drive to the Monastery of Poblet, a beautiful abbey founded by Cistercian monks in 1151.
We'll reach the monastery in just 50 minutes. Once there, we will begin a guided tour of the site, lasting around one and a half hours. We will start by watching a 3D video that will tell us all about the history of this important monument protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
We will visit the different rooms of this abbey built in the year 1150. We will visit the chapels, the cellar, the main cloister, the old monks' dormitories, and much more. We will also access the Royal Pantheon, where the tombs of several Aragonese kings and counts are located.
After the visit, we will get back in the vehicle and drive to the nearby town of Montblanc. For half an hour, we will stroll through the picturesque streets of the historic center, which has the largest walled-in area in Catalonia. Walking along the walls we will see the old convent of San Francisco, the church of San Miguel, and several imposing towers.
We will end the tour by dropping you off at your hotel at approximately 1 pm.
